The ultimate efficient packing list for traveling to Namibia, Africa in just a carry-on

Seven years ago, I got invited to Namibia, Africa—and yep, I had to Google where exactly in Africa that was! My husband unfortunately had to stay home and work, so I packed up my two older daughters and we tagged along with my in-laws, sister-in-law, and her kids for an unforgettable adventure.
Now, eight years later, I’m heading back to Namibia—with my husband and no kids this time around. I’m beyond excited and way smarter about what to pack!
So what exactly do I pack for a trip to Namibia?
Since our trip is in June, it will be winter in Namibia—so packing layers is essential! Mornings on game drives can be surprisingly chilly (think puffy jackets and beanies), but by the afternoon, you’ll often be warm enough for shorts.
Cooler temps mean fewer mosquitoes—score! While tsetse flies aren’t as bad as in Kenya or Tanzania, it’s still best to avoid black or navy during the day. They just can’t resist those colors!
Here’s what I’ll be packing in my suitcase:

This packing list is intended for an 11 day trip (3 days of travel plus 9 days in the country). So feel free to modify the packing list for your length of trip.
